Accustomed to obedience of soldiers under his command, a centurion believed in Jesus’ authority to just say the word to heal a paralyzed servant. Jesus also cured people in a crowd that had followed Him up a mountain. After three days, He multiplied seven loaves and a few fish, providing more than enough food for everyone. Jesus taught His followers to act on His words, like building a house on a solid foundation. Giving the Twelve authority to heal in His name, He sent them to proclaim the Kingdom of heaven. When we feel abandoned in the world, like sheep without a shepherd, do we try to see where we turned away from the Lord?
