Proverb 21:5 reminds us of the benefits of diligent planning. A charitable trust will benefit both you and Heart of the Nation in ways tailored to your specific goals.

Charitable Trust

Earnings accumulate based on assets (money or property) that you invest in the trust. There are two main types.

Charitable Lead Trust: Heart of the Nation receives a percentage of the trust’s income during the lifetime(s) of one or more individuals or for a set number of years. You designate one or more beneficiaries, such as family members, to receive the principal that remains.

Charitable Remainder Trust: During your lifetime or a set number of years, you receive income from the trust and may continue to use property invested in the trust. Heart of the Nation receives whatever is left over. The payments you receive may be a fixed dollar amount or a percentage of the trust’s value.
